|
Eastwood Farm is owned by Bristol City Council and managed by Bristol Parks, it was designated as a Local Nature Reserve in January 2008. Formerly farmland, part of the site was used for landfill in the 1970s and there was a plan to build a road acoss it.The links below will tell you more about the site but it would be far better to pay us a visit!

Walking - there is access to Eastwood Farm LNR from Eastwood Road, Wyndham Crescent and Whitmore Avenue or you can catch Beese's ferry across the river from the River Avon Trail at Conham when it is running and access the site up the steps from their garden. Lunch at Beese's, a walk around Eastwood Farm and then a cream tea before heading home makes a great day out. Cycling - you can access Eastwood Farm by bike via any of the entrances described above, there are no surfaced paths - if you choose to cycle around the reserve please give priority to pedestrians. Cycles can be brought across on the Beese's ferry or secured on the Conham side of the river. By bus - the entrance to Eastwood Farm from Whitmore Avenue is near the last stop on the number 1 bus route from the City Centre to Broomhill. By car - there is no vehicle access or onsite car parking facilities. The lane to Beeses is currently closed. On-street parking on local roads is very limited. Please use alternative modes of transport if at all possible (see above). Learn more about Eastwood Farm...Bristol Parks - Eastwood Farm Page >>
